In 2003, the NCHA Pro Trainers Association was formed and adopted an Official Code of Ethics for Professional Cutting Horse Trainers. It is the duty of the Pro Trainers Association to develop a criteria for trainers and coaches and to work towards accreditation of our trainers.
Other issues include setting the qualifications for trainers, the perception of trainers from the public, the disadvantages to the public if they go to unqualified trainers, Trainer/client contracts and standardisation of fees, and to ensure that Risk Management and OH&S issues are adhered to at their places of work.
In order to be recognised as a Professional Trainer with the NCHA, members must meet the selection criteria and complete the Horse Safety Australia Instructors course.
