From the Board - In July 2016 the board carried a motion to reduce the advancing entries by 20% from the first go round to the second go round of the Non Pro Classic and Non Pro Derby, bringing these two events in line with the Open Derby and Open Classic. The matter was thoroughly debated by the board and the decision based on the following; Feedback and discussion held at the convention in 2015, the need to shorten the program based on so many complaints about late nights, ...and too many days away from home etc. The Futurity and Non Pro Futurity are still 2 full rounds and have not been changed. The changes were Published in the Chatta magazine in September 2016 in bold print within the guaranteed money document. At no stage has the board or the NCHA tried to hide the decision or implement this after entries were received. The Futurity is a pinnacle event for the NCHA and showcases the best cutting in Australia. Best wishes and the best of luck to all competitors and we look forward to seeing you at Tamworth.
