EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST are sought from suitably qualified persons to assist in the operational management and review of office systems of the NCHA for a six month period.
The successful applicant will work closely with a progressive Board of Directors, a small dedicated team of employees and the outgoing General Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to help reshape the association for future success.
Operations Manager
Term: 6 month contract, with possibility to extend for the right person
Hours: Fulltime
Salary: Negotiable, based on skills, experience and qualifications
Main Duties
- Balance strategic and operational activities in a very hands on role
- Provide leadership to NCHA members and staff during the transition
- Complete handover with the outgoing General Manager and provide recommendation to the Board on future resourcing requirements
- All aspects of day to day operations including customer service, HR management, financial management, Board administration and reporting, marketing, event management and maintaining relationships with sponsors and stakeholders
- Successful coordination and delivery of 2021 NCHA Futurity
- Report progress towards strategic objectives to the Board of Directors
Selection Criteria
- Understanding of and passion for the Cutting Horse Industry
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Proven experience in the documentation and review of office processes and implementation of effective business systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Proven experience in all aspects of effective operational management
- Successful delivery of large events in the cutting horse industry (preferred) or equine industry
- Demonstrated experience with modern IT systems. Experience with icompete software will be highly regarded, however is not essential
