2027 Futurity

The Annual NCHA Cutting Futurity has grown from humble beginnings at the Moonbi Showgrounds in 1974, where just 25 competitors competed over three days for a $10,000 prize purse, to become the largest cutting event in the Southern Hemisphere. Now proudly hosted in Tamworth at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC), the 2026 NCHA Futurity delivered the largest entries to date, 15 days of elite competition and more than $1 million in prizemoney paid to competitors and owners. More than 15,000 spectators walked through the doors of AELEC, while the event’s digital reach extended worldwide, generating over 2.3 million content views, 231,000 live scoring views and 220,000 livestream views, with Australia, the United States and New Zealand leading the global audience. The NCHA Futurity continues to showcase the very best of the cutting horse industry and remains a premier event on Australia’s equine calendar.
